The Boy Said She Was Lying… and Everything Broke
Chapter 4: The Woman Who Watches Everything
The truth began to fracture reality.
The father started observing his daughter.
Carefully.
Quietly.
And slowly, patterns appeared.
She never bumped into objects when no one was looking.
She adjusted her posture when cameras were nearby.
She reacted to light changes when she thought no one noticed.
And worst of all—
she stopped acting the moment his wife entered a room.
The wife always smiled too perfectly.
Always stood slightly behind conversations.
Always observed more than she spoke.
One night, the father confronted her.
In the kitchen.
No witnesses.
Only the sound of water boiling.
"She's not blind," he said.
His wife didn't react immediately.
She just stirred her tea.
Then replied softly:
"I know."
That answer froze him.
"You know?"
She finally looked at him.
Not surprised.
Not afraid.
Just calm.
"She had to believe she was," she said.
The father stepped back.
"Why?"
The wife's expression didn't change.
"Because someone is watching us."
The kitchen suddenly felt smaller.
